Filling
If the teeth are not brushed well and the oral hygiene is not sufficient, the plaque and tartar bacteria live with the aid of “sugar.” The acid that occurs during sugar use softens the tooth’s hard tissue and causes tooth decay. In the filling process the softened and degraded hard tooth tissue is removed and the tooth is purified from the decay. A suitable filling material should be replaced with the cavity that has arisen during tooth brushing. This filling material should be applied easily, cover the cavity perfectly and not cause any leakage. It is also preferable for the patients and the dentists that this filling has an aesthetic appearance. If the patient suffers from tooth sensitivity (to hot), chewing, or intense pain; or the tooth decay has reached the living tissue (the pulp), first the root canal treatment is performed and the filling is put into cavity afterward.
Crowns and Bridges
A crown is a tooth-shaped ‘cap’ that is placed on a tooth to cover the tooth and restore its shape, size, strength and enhance the overall look of the smile. It is used for both dental and aesthetic purposes and can therefore play a crucial role in the makeover of your smile. A crown will assist the dentist to completely change the shape of a tooth, which is something that a laminate veneer treatment can not do. They can be sculptured to balance your existing teeth or help with closing the gaps (creating a bridge).
Root Canal Treatment
A root canal is performed when the soft inner part of a tooth, known as the pulp, is injured or becomes inflamed or infected. The crown of the tooth (the part you can see above your gums) can remain intact even if the pulp is dead. Removing injured or infected pulp is the best way to preserve the structure of the tooth.
Implants
Dental implant is an important alternative treatment that is often used in the case of both existing teeth and removable dentures to support the retention of dentures.
