Gastric Balloon
Gastric Balloon, is the simplest bariatric procedure for weight loss. A balloon filled with fluid or air is placed in the stomach under mild anesthesia in order to prevent/reduce stomach intake. This process takes between 15 and 20 minutes. Thus, the food-intake capacity of the stomach decreases and satisfaction is reached quickly.
Gastric Sleeve
Gastric Sleeve Surgery is the process of removing majority of the stomach without disturbing the natural functioning of the digestive system. With this method, diseases related to obesity such as hypertension, diabetes and sleep apnea are reduced by 80%. After the surgery, the patient is satisfied with less food as the stomach volume decreases, and the extraction of the hormone that causes the feeling of hunger causes the patient to eat less.
Gastric Bypass
It is the process of bypassing a large part of the stomach and creating a smaller stomach and suturing it to the small intestine. With the smaller stomach, the patient is aimed to be satiated faster, and since a part of the intestine is removed, the consumed food is thrown away without being absorbed.
Transit Bipartition
This surgery is an advanced metabolic surgery procedure applied to patients who do not have excess weight but have severe (type 2) diabetes. First, most of the stomach volume is disabled. Then, a new intestinal tract is opened by using the natural digestive system. Thus, two different food passages creates an acceleration on digestion and also as a consequence, it reduces the amount of sugar mixed into the blood.
